Thanks for your interest in Volun-tees – the University volunteer scheme to support students and staff to engage in volunteering activities in the local community.

We hope to provide you with some useful information about the service we provide and how you can get involved in Volun-tees.

Background

  • Volun-tees provides a FREE service to local and national voluntary organisations to:
  • Help promote volunteering opportunities in the community.
  • Promote services that organisations provide.
  • Raise awareness and potential fundraising opportunities.
  • Provide networking and share good practice opportunities.

How can you get involved

  1. Register - Once registered, you can start promoting your opportunities on our website which has over 2000 registrations.   
  2. Submit articles for newsletter – Details about your opportunities, organisation events (such as fundraising) and case studies can be circulated in our newsletters
  3. Presentations/Events – participate in our Volunteering Fairs/Careers presentations/subject specific talks
  4. VIP Board – submit a proposal for our student led volunteering projects giving students the opportunity to plan, lead and develop a one-off activity for your organisation.
  5. The choice is yours on how much you are able to get involved in activities on campus – regardless of this, we will promote every opportunity in an equal and unbiased way.
