This Do Good, Feel Good Event will be volunteering with the volunteering team to put on a £1 Clothing Sale.
Supporting our Sustainable Futures Strategy, helping staff and students with the cost-of-living along with supporting a local charity.
The aim of the sale is to prevent clothing going to landfill and help to support students and staff to pick up a bargain. We are looking to collect ladies, men’s and children’s clothes/coats/shoes/hats/scarves/gloves/accessories etc that are in a saleable condition, which will then be sorted, sized and sold on sale day.
We are looking for volunteers who maybe able to pick up a two-hour volunteering shift and are free on the following times to help:
Friday 19th September from 12-2pm (Clothes sorting)
Tuesday 23rd September from 9-11am, 11-1pm, 1-3pm (Selling, replenishing)
Volunteers will need to state which shift they would like, and the volunteering team will be able to allocate accordingly.
Clothes sorting will involve checking through donations and putting items in size order.
Sale day volunteers will help with set up and assisting customers in choosing clothes.
All proceeds from the sale will be donated to a local charity.
