Do Good, Feel Good - Festive Collection 11.12.2025

What You'll Do:

Over the past few weeks, staff at Teesside University have been generously donating items such as toys, gift sets, food, and toiletries. These donations will be shared with local charities in time for the festive period.

The holidays can be a difficult time for many people, so it’s wonderful to be able to give something back and support our community.

We now need some extra hands to help bring all these wonderful donations together!

We have various collection points across campus, and volunteers will help by:

  • Visiting collection sites to gather donations
  • Bringing items to a central location
  • Helping to sort and prepare them for distribution

Date: Thursday, 11 December 2025
Time: From 10:00am onwards
How to help: Give as little or as much time as you can — every bit of support makes a difference! Volunteering with the volunteering team to Do Good, Feel Good!

Why You'll Love It:
Together, we can make this festive season a little brighter for our community.
What You'll Learn:
Develop teamwork skills – work together to coordinate and complete the collection. Enhance organisation and logistics experience – manage donations, and help with sorting and distribution. Build community awareness – gain a better understanding of local charities and the real difference their work makes. Strengthen communication skills – liaise with staff at various collection points. Experience the reward of giving back – feel the positive impact of supporting others during the festive season.
What We're Looking For:
Be able to give some time on Thursday 11 December 2025 (from 10am onwards). Feel comfortable moving around campus to collect donations from different sites.  Be willing to lift and carry light to medium boxes or bags of items (toys, food, toiletries, etc.). Enjoy working as part of a team to sort and organise donations. Bring a positive, community-focused attitude – this is all about helping others and spreading kindness!
