For this role we are looking for volunteers to work alongside our Youth Workers who run our open access youth clubs in the Middlesbrough area. In this role you can take up one or more evening a week at one of our youth clubs.

What You'll Do: 

Support members of staff in the delivery of programmes, workshops and sessions for young people ages 10-16 years across the Middlesbrough area. Expectations of the volunteer: Work within the policies and procedures of Youth Focus: North East (YFNE)Recognise and fulfil the commitments to YFNE. This will include attending agreed work and activities. Be expected to provide suitable references and comply with DBS as appropriate.
Prepare for and attend agreed supervision sessions, undertake training where it is deemed to be relevant and appropriate. Be expected to provide travel receipts for reimbursement 
As an organisation we will;  offer support, respect volunteers as equal members of the staff team but not expect them to take on the responsibilities of a full-time worker. Provide a nominated supervisor from the staff team who will have responsibility for organising supervision sessions at least once a month. The supervisor will be the volunteer’s first port of call for any queries, questions or complaints. The supervisor will also be responsible for following up any issues raised and liaise with other staff members.

Offer access to wider training and keep volunteers informed of any training opportunities that arise. Wherever possible the organisation will meet the costs of the training. Offer expenses to volunteers for travel costs and any additional expenses incurred during sessions.
