We're looking for volunteers to support with a new project supporting girls to build confidence and self-esteem in secondary schools. The role will involve being part of group sessions with girls to discuss the issues that are relevant to their lives

What You'll Do:

You will support with the running of small groups and  workshops to help girls think about and discuss the issues that have an impact on their confidence and self-esteem. Initially this will be part of a pilot project to test out the programme, which is based on a 'philosphy for children' model and will last for 6 weeks in each secondary school.

Why You'll Love It:
We know that our work makes a huge difference for vulnerable girls and want to reach many more with the message that they are valued and have potential. If you'd like to find out more, please get in touch!
What You'll Learn:
Rubies provides lots of in-house and external training to assist volunteers with supporting girls. Training courses may include safeguarding, listening skills, trauma, mental health issues and much more. By getting involved with young poeple, volunteers also learn about their own strengths and motivations and how a small committment can make a huge difference. We're always open to learning from our volunteers and from the girls themselves...
What We're Looking For:
We are looking for reliable, consistent,  compassionate people who understand the value of relationships when working with young people.
