You will support the personal, social & educational development of young people aged 13-25. (SUITABLE FOR WE MODULE)

What You'll Do: 

You will assist and support Linx in developing programs, extending its reach and impact and to share responsibility for the delivery of youth work activities. You will support the personal, social & educational development of young people aged 13-25.

  1. Carry out detached/outreach  and centre based youth work in specified communities around Middlesbrough

 

  1. To support staff in developing and coordinating the delivery of Linx activities and in the development of new projects and initiatives in the community.

 

  1. Assist in building relationships and liaising with youth networks, educational institutions and other external partners to raise the profile of Linx in the community, targeting specific groups and encouraging new members.
  2. Support young people to become active members of Linx and become involved in the design, planning and delivery of the activities as volunteers/ peer mentors.

 

  1. To carry out all work within an equal opportunities framework. To promote anti-discriminatory practice within the community and to challenge anti-social behaviour and attitudes

 

  1. To undertake other temporary duties consistent with the basic objectives and/or main duties of the post.

 

  1. To ensure all Safeguarding practices and procedures are implemented in accordance with Linx Policy and undertake any Safeguarding training required for the position.

 

  1. To develop your personal skill set within this profession with the support of staff, management and relevant training. Meeting the goals of your volunteering experience.
