Help us create meaningful activity resources for people living with dementia.
What You'll Do:
As an Activity Resource Volunteer, you’ll support the design and preparation of engaging materials for use in our dementia activity groups. These could be creative, sensory, or memory-based resources – anything that supports inclusion, stimulation, and joy.
This is a great role for someone who enjoys arts, crafts, puzzles or design and wants to support others in a behind-the-scenes way.
- Help create and prepare resources like quizzes, reminiscence packs, puzzles, craft kits or conversation cards
- Print, cut, laminate, and organise materials (at home or with the team)
- Suggest or help plan themed activities
- Assist in creating carer take-home packs with meaningful engagement ideas
Why You'll Love It:
If you’re someone who loves getting creative, being organised, and making a difference behind the scenes, this role has so much to offer. You’ll enjoy volunteering with us if you:
Want to use your creativity to design meaningful, dementia-friendly activities
Enjoy tasks like crafting, designing resources, or planning themed materials
Are studying occupational therapy, education, psychology, health and social care, or the arts
Prefer a flexible role that can be done remotely or in your own time
Like knowing that your work will have a direct impact on people’s enjoyment and wellbeing
Are passionate about inclusive, accessible engagement for older people
This is a gentle, rewarding way to build skills in planning, communication, and dementia-friendly design – all while supporting others to live well.
What You'll Learn:
Experience in activity design and resource preparation
Satisfaction in knowing your work directly enhances group experiences
A flexible and creative way to contribute from home
Opportunities to explore new hobbies and skills
What We're Looking For:
Someone who enjoys being creative and methodical
A good eye for detail and presentation
Comfortable working independently (remotely or alongside the team)
An interest in dementia-friendly communication and design
