Help us create events that raise funds, share joy, and bring people together.
What You'll Do:
As an Events & Fundraising Support Volunteer, you’ll play a key role in helping Young at Heart ULO CIC organise and run local events and fundraising activities. From tombolas and tea parties to raffles and community fairs, your support will help us reach more people and continue delivering meaningful services.
This role is perfect for someone organised, creative, and happy to muck in where needed:
- Help with the planning and preparation of events and fundraising activities
- Assist with setup, welcome, and practical tasks during events
- Collect raffle prizes or promote activities in the lead-up to an event
- Chat with attendees and help create a warm, inclusive atmosphere
- Support the team with basic admin tasks or follow-up if needed
Why You'll Love It:
This role is perfect if you enjoy working as part of a team and seeing your efforts come to life in real time. You’ll love volunteering with us if you:
Want to build experience in event planning, fundraising, or community engagement
Enjoy helping with creative ideas and practical tasks
Are studying subjects like event management, marketing, business, social work, or health and social care
Are looking for something hands-on, social, and varied
Want to contribute to something meaningful while developing your organisation and communication skills
Love the buzz of community events and seeing people connect
You’ll get to play a part in making joyful, inclusive events happen – and you’ll leave knowing you’ve helped raise funds and awareness for a cause that matters.
What You'll Learn:
Real-life event experience
Opportunities to meet others and contribute to a good cause
Confidence in public engagement and community organising
A sense of fulfilment from helping make events happen
What We're Looking For:
A friendly, proactive person who enjoys community events
Someone who is organised and willing to roll up their sleeves
Comfortable working as part of a team or independently
Available on an occasional basis to support events as needed
