Whitby Wildlife Sanctuary
Whitby Wildlife Sanctuary's mission is to provide a rescue & rehabilitation service for orphaned, sick and injured wildlife across the whole of the North East, with aim to release back into the wild where they belong.
ABOUT US: 

Founded in 2009, WWS has grown to become a successful, large, recognisable charity in the North East. Operating from its own 3 acre site, Whitby Wildlife has excellent rehabilitation facilites to provide care for a wide variety of UK wildlife. We have a team of around 200 volunteers assisting in animal care, rescue and transport, our charity shop in Whitby, general maintenance, collections and fundraising. Volunteers are the backbone of our work. 

WHY OUR WORK MATTERS: 

We have become one of the largest centres for wildlife rescue and rehabilitation in the North East, taking between 11,000 and 13,000 calls every year from the public who need help with a wide range of wildlife issues and problems.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN OUR PEOPLE: 

There are roles to suit all manner of people and we provide flexibility to suit individuals needs. Volunteers do need to be 16+. If applying for the role of rescue and transport, access to your own vehicle is required. We are looking for positive, enthusiatic individuals, keen to assist the charity in any way they can.
