St John Ambulance - NHS Cadets
The NHS Cadets Project aims to attract young people 14 - 18 into careers in the healthcare system and develop their skills so that they are ready to fully sustain themselves in health volunteering opportunities and by 2023 10,000 young people will have enrolled as NHS Cadets.
ABOUT US:

St John Ambulance and the NHS are working in partnership to prepare young people to become health volunteers.

As a volunteer with our NHS Cadets Project, you’ll be trained to provide our young people with the skills and opportunities to sustain themselves in health care volunteering. As a member of our Youth Team you’ll help create a safe, inclusive and open environment where young people can learn important life skills. You will help plan and deliver sessions and support young people to develop and grow.

Delivery will be on an evening, once a week per programme (face to face).

WHY OUR WORK MATTERS:

The project specifically welcomes young people from backgrounds that are not widely represented in the NHS; those from British Minority Ethnic communities, young people not in, or at risk of not being in education, employment or training, young carers, or those who are in or have recently left care.

OUR VALUES:
Humanity
Excellence
Accountability
Responsiveness
Teamwork
WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN OUR PEOPLE:

We’re looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals who are looking to better the skills and lives of young people helping them reach their full potential.
