Women’s Aid began in 1987, meaning we have over thirty years’ experience of delivering first-class specialist services to victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence in Redcar & Cleveland. We are the only organisation in the area providing a full ‘wraparound’ service to victims; from safe house accommodation, to individual support, Programmes, Training and Counselling and as from 2023 our new “Move-On” flats.
Although we have a long history, EVA is very different from when we began in the 80s, and we have plans to expand our services, grow our Staff Team numbers and deliver even more services to victims. But domestic abuse and sexual violence remain as serious, traumatic and life-changing issues and we work hard to support victims with their journey of hope and recovery.
