The project equips you with an understanding of domestic abuse and how to respond to survivors to enable the community to play an active role in ending domestic abuse.

What You'll Do:

After the initial training, ambassadors are given resources and support to share what they have learned with those around them in ways that feel most comfortable to them. They are encouraged to start conversations and help others to better understand the barriers that survivors face in speaking out. An ambassador can commit as much or as little time as they can give. We’ll keep in touch with new opportunities and events such as meet-ups, fundraising, campaign involvement and volunteering.

Why You'll Love It:
Its an enjoyable course with great feedback, see our Facebook page @askmeboro. We aim to help build confidence in this subject matter and give you an isight into Domestic Abuse. We as a community can work together to have open conversations about Domestic Abuse and become 'Gate Openers' for survivors to feel they can have a voice, be listetened to and more importantly be believed and supported at a time of crisis. You will love it because you can really feel you have made a difference.
