Could you Volunteer your time to support a young person?
Volunteer Youth Mentors provide 1:1 support to a young person helping to identify future goals, raise aspirations, build confidence, self-esteem and resilience.
SUITABLE FOR WE MODULE
Volunteer Youth Mentors are everyday people who volunteer their time and use their own life experiences to develop a supportive relationship with a young person and encouraging them to make positive life decisions and increase aspirations.
Due to the success of the project, we are now expanding to more school and are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team of volunteers.
New Mentors are now being recruited ready to start in schools from January 2022
Mentors must be able to commit to meeting with a young person in schools for an hour per week for up to 12 weeks.
No experience is necessary, we are looking for Mentors of all ages with varied life and career experiences. Full training will be given to all Mentors prior to being matched with a suitable young person. Training will include:
• Introduction to Mentoring
• Child Protection & Safeguarding
• Confidentiality & Boundaries
• Action Planning & Goal Setting
DBS Checks provided and travel expenses paid.
